原理:n 的因子和 σ(n)(含 n 本身)与 2n 比较给出三分法——σ(n) > 2n 称盈数(abundant),σ(n) = 2n 称完美数,σ(n) < 2n 称亏数。盈余量 abundance(n) = σ(n) − 2n,例如 12 的因子和 = 1+2+3+4+6+12 = 28,盈余 4;24 盈余 12。12 是最小盈数,随后是 18、20、24、30、36、40…。奇盈数非常稀少,最小的是 945(σ = 1920,盈余 30),1000 以内只有 16 个。盈数密度随范围增大而增长:从 10000 到 20000 之间约每 4 个数就有 1 个盈数。

注意事项:盈数判断用的是含 n 的因子和 σ(n),而亲和数、社交数工具用的是真因子和(σ − n);完美数盈余恰为 0,被归为单独一类;过大的 n(超出 200000)会被拒绝以控制枚举耗时;奇盈数必须含至少 3 个不同的奇质因子(最小的 3³·5·7),因此前几个奇盈数出现得很晚。
